Biffy Clyro - Bubbles

Scottish Biffy Clyro have had tremendous success in the British Isles in recent years. In 2009 they released the album "Only Revolutions" which topped the charts, won platinum and sold out Wembley Arena! In Sweden, they were nominated for "Best international breakthrough" on the Bandit Rock Awards. They have toured the world with, among others Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Queens Of The Stone Age and yesterday they visited Stockholm for a gig at a sold-out Debaser Medis. It was really a pleasant evening was the band did well by himself and gave all they had to their fans and created an incredible atmosphere. The band keeps getting better and better every time they perform live, which is incredibly fun to watch, full speed, in other words.

Biffy Clyro, composed of Simon Neil (vocals, guitar) and brothers Ben (drums) and James Johnston (bass, vocals) founded the band in 1999 in Ayrshire outside Glasgow. Within three years they released their first three albums, 'The Vertigo Of Bliss' was recorded in just one day!

The big breakthrough came in 2007 with the album "Puzzle". A dark album that was written in conjunction with Simon's mother passed away. A partnership was initiated with producer Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and their guitar-based rock processing of string compositions by Graeme Revell, known for his works of great films like "Sin City", "The Crow" and "From Dusk Til Dawn".

Todays tune "Bubbles" is the fifth single taken from Biffy Clyro's fifth studio album, Only Revolutions. Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures provides additional lead guitar in the song. Despite being one of the lower charting songs from the album (reaching #34 on the UK singles chart), it has spent more weeks in the top 100 than any other Biffy Clyro song. And soon the 7th single will be release, yes the 7th single, holy moses.
