Baroness - Swollen and Halo

 

Two days ago, more precisely Thursday, did i visited Debaser, Slussen together with a good friend Robert (Chief Rebel Angel), our plan was to enjoy the nice weather and watch a concert with Baroness that would play there this evening. We sipped some fine beer and greeted on some familiar faces, looked quickly into the support act Pike, who was OK live, unfortunately, did we only see one song so I can not say much more than that.

Robert and I spoke about commercial music with Tomas Andersson, the singer and songwriter in the band "Itchy Days." It was interesting to hear the plans of his band's future and his love for Baroness, which you could say about almost everyone who was there, then saying not just to me or my friends but can almost count everyone who was there.

How was the gig then?, damn!, I say. It was extremely good, what a feeling it were at Debaser, an incredible wibb that the band creates, incredibly good moves in the songs, very hot, sweaty. I almost dropped in a trance during the show. A very interesting observation was that singer John Baizley sings exactly the same live as on record, incredibly fascinating.

Baroness is a band from Savannah, Georgia whose members grew up together in Lexington, Virginia. They combine elements of sludge metal, progressive metal and punk.

Todays tune "" is taken from the second LP "Blue Record", was released on October 13, 2009. It is considered the sister album to the previous album, Red Album. Todays video is filmed 12/5/09 at the Clubhouse in Tempe
