Feuerzeug - Evel Knievel Has Kissed the Devil

Feuerzeug, which means “The Lighter” in German is a Swiss band based in Lausanne. Founded in 2008 by David Denega (aka Deneg aka David Van Neeg) - guitar-lead singer and Marc Cappelletti - drums – backing vocals, they originally named themselves “Tesla Intoxicates” but after the arrival of Steve Wolfensberger - guitar – effects, the band changed its name into “Feuerzeug”.

They don’t speak much about the bass players because The band is known in Switzerland to have numerous different bass-players and sometimes just for few weeks. (here are just the names because we owe them that : David Cappelletti, Steve Wolfensberger, David Denega, Raphaël Bovey, Chris Jock, The current one and hopefully the last Terry Pinard)

They released their second release "Dead Wahines And Tsunamis" last year, it follows up their 2009 album "Drive Fast And Crash". The band plays some heavy stoner rock with Kyuss influences, Truckfighters riffs, Sleep magic and melodies taken from The Sword. The album contains 13 songs. That’s a lot of songs, lots of music, massive leather bag of clever riffs, heavy rolls, and solos that are tightly packed.

Todays tune “Evil Knievel Has Kissed The Devil.”, taken from the second album "Dead Wahines And Tsunamis" has the funkiest riffs on the album, covered with some low, heavy chords.
